iREAD Summer 2016
Interactive Readers Educating And Demonstrating Program

ITheatre believes creative arts can change lives and build stronger communities.  It is with this vision in mind that we have partnered with the City of Weslaco and the Mayor Joe V. Sanchez Public Library to bring our iREAD Program. Together we will work to inspire the love of reading  and show young learners the power of imagination.

The iREAD Program is a free interactive reading program targeted to young learners.  The program’s goal is to engage young learners, demonstrate the power of imagination and teach them that reading is essential.

ITheatre actors will lead young learners through book explorations and teach them how they too can explore their favorite books.

More info to come soon!

Previous iREAD Books

We kick off our Summer iREAD program with Jon Scieszka's book The True Story of the 3 Little Pigs! Do you know the story of the 3 Little Pigs? Well, that isn't the real story according to Mr. A. Wolf. It actually all started over a cup of sugar and a cold. Children will love interacting with our actors when they get to help blow down.....I mean sneeze down the little pig's house! Children also get to jump on stage become Mr. wolf, pigs, and police man as the act out this hilarious version of The 3 Pigs.
