Jack and Leo, two down-and-out Shakespearean actors, are stuck in the rut of performing “Scenes from Shakespeare” at Moose Lodges across Amish country. Tired, broke, and utterly miserable, they dream of a way out—until they stumble upon the perfect (and outrageous) get-rich-quick scheme.
In York, PA, a wealthy old lady is on her deathbed, ready to leave her fortune to her long-lost English nephews. Jack and Leo see dollar signs and hatch a plan to pose as the missing heirs. Simple enough, right? Wrong.
When the actors arrive in York, they discover one small problem—the long-lost “nephews” are actually nieces!
With their sights still set on the prize, Jack and Leo throw on petticoats, wigs, and heels, transforming into “Maxine and Stephanie.” Just as they start to believe they might actually pull it off, Leo falls hard for the old lady’s charming and vivacious niece, Meg. The only catch? Meg is already engaged to the town’s straight-laced minister.
What started as a quick con spirals into a whirlwind of mistaken identities, romantic entanglements, and side-splitting chaos. As the disguises grow thinner and the lies pile higher, the only question is--will Jack and Leo make off with millions, or will their cover (and corsets) come undone?
